The story is about Dorothy. Dorothy has a dog named Toto. Dorothy lives in Kansas with her uncle, Henry and her aunt, Em. One day, the cyclone attacked their house. Henry and Em hide. But Dorothy and Toto fly with their house. When a house lands, and she goes outside. Northern witch named Glinda appeared near the house. She teach Dorothy that here is little human’s country named Munchkins. “You must go to the Emerald City,” Glinda says. ” The Great Wizard of Oz lives there. Ask him to help you.” So Dorothy and Toto decide to go to Emerald City to meet Oz. Dorothy and Toto meet the scarecrows which has no brain and the woodcutter of latten which has no heart, the timid lion while traveling. They decide to meet Oz too and go to Emerald City with Dorothy. They arrive at Emerald City and meet Oz. But he wants to bring the broom of western witch. They go to the castle of western witch. She engages them. But when Dorothy pours water, western witch has melted. They get the broom and give it to Oz. So he tells a scarecrow, a woodcutter and a lion to have something to wish respectively. He said to Dorothy in order to take a balloon and return to Kansas. But a balloon takes only Oz on and it has gone. When Dorothy cry, northern witch Glinda appeared again. She gave magical shoes to Dorothy. She told them of separation and returned to Kansas with Toto.

Do you know Wicked? Wicked is the program performed in Gekidan Shiki. It is an another story of The Wizard of OZ. I had watched it before, I was moved! Please watch it once.

Essay 1-01:Letter to my host family

Hello! My name is Saya. Please call me Saya. I live in Kumamoto. I am a KGU student. I am from Kumamoto. Do you know Kumamoto?

Kumamoto has many natural places. Mount Aso is very famous. Kumamoto Castle is famous too. My favorite place in Kumamoto is Cape Otachi. Cape Otachi’s sea is very beautiful. I saw a wedding at the beach when I visited there before. It was very romantic!

By the way, I am looking forward to going the United Kingdom. I would like to do two things in the UK. At first, my hobby is listening to music. My favorite artist is the Beatles! Especially, my favorite song is Yellow submarine. My mother likes the Beatles too. I put on CDs of the Beatles all the time when I go out with my mother by car. I want to go to Liverpool where John Lennon was born and Westminster which is famous for Abbey Road. Do you like the Beatles? If you like them, please guide me to places associated with the Beatles. We will talk about the Beatles!

Another, I want to see Big Ben. That is also one of my dreams. Do you have a recommended place? If you have one, please guide me there. Please tell me about the UK and I will tell you about Japan. Do you like Japan? I will bring a traditional game named Karuta and Hagoita. Karuta is card game. Hagoita is like badminton. I will tell how to play, so let’s play together.

I am worried because I will go to foreign country the first time. It is worrying for me to not get through to foreigners with my English. I may cause you trouble with this kind of thing. But I will do my best! I’m looking forward to the day when you can meet you. Bye!
